This week I joined a great little group of people who share a lot of my interests. A focus group, a support network. A bunch of women who juggle design, craft, life, a business and children just like me.
With their help I have been trying to improve the photography of my work for *the shop*. They steered me to a lovely conclusion which turns out to be that minimalist white backgrounds aren't always the way.
Instead, a little smidgen of my passion for modernist design flickering around the edges and backgrounds of my shots help my work stand out in the crowd. In a good way hopefully.
To that end, here's the first picture I think works. A shot of one of this year's new dachshunds posing suitably snootily against my back catalogue of Elle Decoration.
The dog is in *the shop* now - fingers crossed she won't stay there for long!
