busy bees

we've been busy...
laying a new floor after a year of ugly cold floorboards:

 

hanging our new GORGEOUS concrete (yes concrete!) panel on the wall (made by ceramacist Alasdair Bremner at UCLAN as part of his phd research project into silicates and concrete) - its about 85cm square, bigger than it looks on these pics - but only 6mm thick (or thin!)... it's stunning
