I have been coveting this book since it came out around Autumn time. Tord Boontje has been one of my favourite designers since I came across him when working at the Design Museum, round about the time of his Wednesday collection, and my lighting obsession.
I have several of his pieces - room dividers, wall hangings, ceramics, cards, lights etc. But today I gulped a very very large gulp, when I read in this book, that the prototype Wednesday light hanging in my lounge, was one of only twelve he made.
TWELVE
I need a little lie down.
*Not to be confused with Habitat's Garland, which was based on the Wednesday light but is the mass-produced version (and very good value at about £10)
