This is one of 20 words being auctioned by textile artist (and all round lovely lady) Deidre Nelson. Exquisite little slices of embroidery, one word on a slither of ribbon, preserved in a glass tube and auctioned for a good cause. Ganet’s Adventure School is a small primary school in Malawi with big ideas. The school was founded in 2004 by its director Gertrude Banda, and has helped many children to complete their primary school education and to enter secondary school in a country where classes of over 100 children are common.
